These second hand things

These second hand things is the third phase of a collaboration between Design Informatics at University of Edinburgh and OXFAM to look at internet of second hand things. This part of the project aims to follow the journey of 5 objects through OXFAM national and international network.

There are multiple end points for goods donated to OXFAM shops, some remain in the shop for sale locally, others go to the WasteSaver centre. From there books, wellies and raincoats may end up at music and book festivals, while bras might be shipped to Senegal.

The Design Informatics team at the University of Edinburgh have attached GPS trackers to see where they go.
